2013/2014 HIT DAWG ACADEMY TEAMS- AGES 7-18

The Hit Dawg Academy's philosophy is based on player development. It is important to know that our philosophy is NOT BASED ON WINNING. THIS IS A DEVELOPMENTAL OPPORTUNITY.  We focus strongly on fundamentals and the necessary mechanics needed to be successful in baseball. From there, winning will take care of itself. There are no tryouts. Anybody and everybody that wants to work hard on their baseball skills, and improve as a player is invited to join our team. Our staff is dedicated to getting you prepared to play at the next level. This opportunity is for players ages 7 years old to 18 years of age.
 
The season will go from September 1, 2013 to March 1, 2014. There will be a total of 6 payments due for the 2013/2014 season- September, October, November, December, January, and February. The monthly payments will be due on the 1st of each month.  Practice schedules and tournament schedules will be available closer to the start of the season in September.
Tournaments Information: Tournament Entry Fees are included in the monthly payment. Hotel, airfare, and food is not included, and to be paid by the player. The players will have the unique opportunity to play in front of professional scouts, coaches, and college recruiters. All tournaments are optional. In addition, we will do video analysis during practice and games for each player. This is a great opportunity for your player to participate on a competitive tournament team while receiving the best instruction and exposure available.

For the 7-11U players there will be 2 Optional Tournaments for the 2013/2014 Season. No player is required to travel. The one time uniform/equipment fee is $125. Every player pays this fee regardless of travel.

For the 12-18U players there will be 4 Optional Tournaments for the 2013/2014 Season. No player is required to travel. The one time uniform/equipment fee is $125. Tournament information will be available closer to the start of the season. Every player pays this fee regardless of travel.

Here are the options for 7-18U Players for the Academy Team Program for 2013/2014:

1. 7-11U Program- 1 Regular Practice + 1 Pitcher's Practice + 1 Mandatory Lesson Per Month during the months of September through December.

Players may ONLY choose this option if they will not turn 12 prior to May 1, 2014. If you turn 12 prior to May 1, 2014 you must participate in one of the 12-18U options below. However, if you qualify for the 7-11U program based on your age, you still may choose one of the other 12-18U options below (instead of this option.) The 7-11U option includes a mandatory 1 lesson per month from September through December. There is no extra charge for the 1 mandatory lesson per month- it is included in the regular monthly pricing. After December 2013 (January 2014 through August 2014,) if you want to continue with lessons, you will pay the regular lesson pricing for Academy Players. There will be 1 Regular Practice per week (Tuesday or Sunday) + 1 Pitcher's Practice per week (Wednesday or Saturday.) With this option you will ONLY be able to attend 1 Regular Practice & 1 Pitcher's practice each week. You will be able to attend 2 tournaments
  • 1 Weekly Regular Practice
  • 1 Weekly Pitcher's Practice
  • 1 Lesson per Month from September through December
  • 2 Optional Tournaments
$225/month for 6 months if you sign up and pay by September 1, 2013

2. 12-18U Players- Pitcher's Practices ONLY- NO REGULAR PRACTICES for 12-18U Players.

There will be 2 Pitcher's Practices per week- Wednesday and Saturday. With this option you will ONLY be able to attend the Pitcher's Practices- NO REGULAR PRACTICES. You will be able to travel to the tournaments, but will only be used as a pitcher during the tournaments- no hitting/playing other defensive positions during games.
  • 2 Weekly Pitcher's Practices
  • 4 Optional Tournaments- Player only used as a pitcher during tournaments
$200/month for 6 months if you sign up and pay by September 1, 2013

3. 12-18U Players- Regular Practices ONLY- NO PITCHER'S PRACTICES + 1 Mandatory Lesson Per Month during the months of September through December.

After December, 2012 (January 2013 through August 2013,) if you want to continue with lessons, you will pay the regular lesson pricing for Academy Players. With this option you will be able to attend BOTH the regular practices and the pitcher's practices. You will be able to travel to the tournaments.

5. 12-18U Players- Regular  Practices + Pitcher's Practices + 7 Days a Week Access to Training with Shawn, Matt, Pat & the Other Academy Coaches during the months of September through December + Free Open Gym.

This option is the most intense training option that we are offering to our players. With this option, players will be able to come in for a lesson/training with our coaches during certain hours 7 days per week from September through December. Players may come in all 7 days a week, if they choose to do so- there is no limit. There is no extra charge for these lessons/training sessions- it is all included in the monthly pricing. After December, 2013 (January 2014 through August 2014) if you want to continue with lessons, you will pay the regular lesson pricing for Academy Players. However, you will still have free open gym/workout facility use from January 2014 through August 2014. In addition to the lessons/training sessions, you will be able to attend 2 Regular Practices per week- Tuesday for 7-14U/Thursday for 15-18U, and Sunday, & 2 Pitcher's Practices per week- Wednesday and Saturday. The practices will include weight training, which will include an individualized workout program. With this option you will be able to attend BOTH the Regular Practices and the Pitcher's Practices. You will be able to travel to the tournaments.
  • 2 Weekly Regular Practices
  • 2 Weekly Pitcher's Practices
  • Weight Training Included in Practices along with Individualized Program for Player
  • 7 Day/week Access to Shawn, Matt, Pat, and other Hit Dawg Coaches for Lessons/Training- You can come in and train/do lessons with our coaches 7 days a week!
  • No Open Gym Fees from 9/1/13-8/31/14
  • 4 Optional Tournaments
$400/month for 6 months if you sign up and pay by September 1, 2013

**For Options 1, 2, 3, and 4 Academy Players will still have the option to come in for open gym during our regular business hours for $5/session and/or use of the workout facilities for $5/session. For Option 5, all open gym and use of the workout facilities is included in the monthly payment. Open gym priviledges for members go from 9/1/13 through 8/31/14.

**This is a 6 month program/commitment. You may not take months "off" from the program for any reason. The only reason we will be allowing players to take a month off from paying for the program is if they suffer a baseball injury. If you are hurt in another sport/activity (not related to baseball) during our season, you will still be required to pay for that time you miss from our practices. You must sign up by 9/1/13 to receive the above monthly rates. The monthly rate will go up every month you wait to sign up. We will not take any new registrations after 1/1/14. Current Academy Members must sign up by 9/1/13 to participate in the 2013/2014 Academy Season.
